Dismantling Shame- Women's Wilderness Group
Toxic Shame sounds like "I'm not ________enough." or "I'm unlovable, broken, or there must be something wrong with me." It gets in the way of having the relationships we crave and the joy that we desire. Shame is the negative core beliefs we hold about ourselves that we don't dare to say out-loud, but fester and grow in silence. Shame keeps us small, isolated, and corrodes our self esteem. But, believe me, you are not alone. In this group we will explore, tend, and work towards dismantling the inner critic.
"If you put Shame in a petri dish it needs 3 ingredients to grow exponentially : Secrecy, Silence, and Judgement. You put that same Shame in a petri dish and douce it with empathy, it can't survive." - Brene Brown
